As a dynamic and versatile musician, Dr. Leon enjoys a dual career as a performer and educator. Parallel to his current position as applied Professor of Trombone at the Florida Atlantic University Department of Music, he serves as the Trombone Artist-in-Residence for the Music Department at the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Trombone and Low Brass Consultant for the Spanish River Community High School Band program, a guest clinician for the School District of Palm Beach County in Palm Beach, Florida, and a Trombone Instructor for the Gulliver Academy in Miami, Florida. In recent news, Dr. Jose Leonardo Leon has been appointed as the new Brass Adjunct Instructor at North Broward Preparatory School and Low Brass Adjunct Instructor at Pine Crest School.
